This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions for returns, refunds, cancellations, and exchanges for products and services purchased from Bharatiya Yog Sansthan (Regd.) (“we,” “our,” “us,” or “Sansthan”).
We are committed to customer satisfaction while maintaining the sustainability of our non-profit organization.

- Physical products (yoga books, accessories, equipment)
- Online and offline courses and training programs
- Paid events, workshops, and seminars
- Digital products (e-books, downloadable content)
Note: Free yoga classes and events are not subject to this policy.
- PHYSICAL PRODUCTS (Books, Accessories, Equipment)
3.1 Cancellation Before Dispatch
Eligibility: Orders can be canceled before dispatch
Process:
- Contact us immediately at [email/phone] with your order number
- Cancellation must be requested within 24 hours of order placement
- Orders dispatched before cancellation cannot be canceled
Refund:
- Full refund of the product amount
- Refund processed within 7-10 business days
- Original payment method will be used for refund
3.2 Returns After Delivery
Eligible for Return:
- Damaged products
- Defective or faulty items
- Wrong products delivered
- Missing items from the order
Return Conditions:
- Report within 48 hours of delivery
- Product must be unused and in original packaging
- Original tags, labels, and accessories must be intact
- Invoice/receipt must be included
NOT Eligible for Return:
- Products damaged due to misuse or negligence
- Products without original packaging
- Items marked as “non-returnable” at the time of purchase
- Products returned after 7 days of delivery
- Items purchased during clearance sales (unless defective)
3.3 Return Process

- If approved, refund will be processed within 7-10 business days
3.4 Refund Amount (Physical Products)
Full Refund:
- Damaged, defective, or wrong items: Full product amount + shipping charges
Partial Refund:
- Customer preference/change of mind: Product amount minus shipping charges and restocking fee (10% if applicable)
No Refund:
- Shipping charges (unless product is damaged/defective)
- Return shipping costs are borne by the customer (unless product is damaged/defective)
3.5 Exchanges
Exchange Policy:
- Exchanges available for damaged or defective products only
- Size/color exchanges (if applicable) subject to availability
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
- Exchange processed after receiving and inspecting returned item
- No additional charges for exchanges of damaged/defective items
Process:
- Follow the return process outlined above
- Specify exchange preference in your request
- Replacement will be shipped after inspection (3-5 business days)
- ONLINE COURSES AND DIGITAL PRODUCTS
4.1 Cancellation Policy
Before Course Access:
- Cancellation allowed before receiving login credentials or course access
- Full refund minus processing fee (5%)
- Request cancellation within 24 hours of payment
After Course Access:
- No refund once access to course materials is provided
- Exception: Technical issues preventing course access (will be resolved or refunded)
4.2 Digital Products (E-books, Downloads)
No Refund Policy:
- Digital products are non-refundable once download link is sent
- No cancellations after download/access is provided
- Ensure compatibility before purchase
Exceptions:
- Corrupt or damaged files: Replacement or refund
- Technical issues preventing download: Full refund
- Report issues within 48 hours
4.3 Course Dissatisfaction
Money-Back Guarantee (if applicable):
- Some courses may offer a satisfaction guarantee (will be clearly mentioned)
- Conditions will be specified at the time of enrollment
- Typically requires completion of certain modules and participation requirements
Standard Policy:
- Refunds not available based solely on dissatisfaction
- Course curriculum, duration, and methodology are clearly stated before enrollment
- Sample/preview content available before purchase where applicable
- OFFLINE COURSES AND TRAINING PROGRAMS
5.1 Cancellation by Student
Before Course Start Date:
More than 30 days before:
- 90% refund (10% administrative fee deducted)
15-30 days before:
- 70% refund (30% administrative fee deducted)
7-14 days before:
- 50% refund (50% administrative fee deducted)
Less than 7 days before:
- No refund (may transfer to future batch if available)
After Course Commencement:
- No refund once course has started
- Partial attendance does not qualify for partial refund
- May transfer to next available batch (one-time only, subject to availability)
5.2 Course Rescheduling or Cancellation by Sansthan
If We Reschedule:
- Advance notice (minimum 7 days)
- Option to attend rescheduled session
- Full refund if rescheduled date is not suitable
If We Cancel:
- Full refund of course fees
- Notification sent at least 7 days in advance (except emergencies)
- Alternative course options may be offered
5.3 Batch Transfer
Eligibility:
- One-time transfer to future batch allowed
- Request must be made at least 7 days before course start
- Subject to seat availability in future batches
- Transfer valid for 6 months from original course date
- Transfer fee may apply (₹[amount] or [percentage]%)
- PAID EVENTS, WORKSHOPS, AND SEMINARS
6.1 Cancellation by Participant
More than 15 days before event:
- 80% refund (20% administrative fee)
7-15 days before event:
- 50% refund (50% administrative fee)
Less than 7 days before event:
- No refund
- May transfer ticket to another person (notify us in advance)
Day of event/No-show:
- No refund
6.2 Event Cancellation by Sansthan
If We Cancel:
- Full refund of registration/ticket fee
- Notification sent as early as possible
- Refund processed within 7-10 business days
If We Reschedule:
- Option to attend rescheduled event
- Full refund if new date is not suitable
- Advance notice provided
6.3 Ticket Transfer
- Tickets may be transferred to another person
- Notify us at least 48 hours before event
- Provide new participant’s details
- No additional charges for transfer
- REFUND PROCESS
7.1 Refund Timeline
After Approval:
- Refund initiated within 7-10 business days
- Credit to original payment method
- Actual credit time depends on your bank/payment provider:
- Credit/Debit Cards: 5-7 business days
- Net Banking: 3-5 business days
- UPI: 2-3 business days
- Wallets: 2-4 business days
7.2 Refund Method
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method only
- Bank account refunds require providing bank details
- We cannot process refunds to third-party accounts
7.3 Refund Confirmation
- You will receive email confirmation when refund is initiated
- Refund reference number will be provided
- Contact us if refund is not received within stated timeline
7.4 Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may apply for:
- Products returned after the return window (at our discretion)
- Products showing signs of use

8.1 Medical Emergencies
For course or event cancellations due to medical emergencies:
- Medical certificate/documentation required
- Case-by-case evaluation
- May offer full refund or transfer option
- Must be reported within 48 hours of the medical event
8.2 Force Majeure
In case of natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other force majeure events:
- We will work with you to find suitable alternatives
- Options may include: refund, credit note, rescheduling, or online alternatives
- Refund amount determined based on costs already incurred
8.3 Technical Issues
If technical issues prevent access to online courses or digital products:
- Report immediately with details
- We will resolve the issue within 24-48 hours
- Full refund if issue cannot be resolved within 7 days
- NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS AND SERVICES
The following are strictly non-refundable:
- Free yoga classes and events (no payment involved)
- Certification examination fees (separate from course fees)
- Downloaded digital content
- Customized or personalized products
- Items marked as “final sale” or “non-refundable” at purchase
- Processing fees and payment gateway charges
- Shipping charges (unless product is defective)
- CREDIT NOTES AND VOUCHERS
10.1 Credit Note Option
In lieu of refund, we may offer:
- Store credit for future purchases
- Valid for 12 months from issue date
- Cannot be redeemed for cash
- Transferable to another user
10.2 Voucher Terms
- Promotional vouchers and discount codes are non-refundable
- Cannot be exchanged for cash
- Validity period as mentioned on voucher
- Cannot be combined with other offers (unless specified)
- DONATION COMPONENT
As a non-profit organization, a portion of proceeds supports our free yoga centers and community programs:
- This component is clearly communicated at purchase
- Donation portion is non-refundable
- Product/service cost and donation (if any) are shown separately
